I’m fine with either. Lately I’m leaning towards Beamer. shite, let’s think outside the box. It can’t get worse. Beamer would probably keep Shaw.

Beamer would be worse than Monken. You know a guy is trash it literally no one else is interested in him. Like no one. Napier, Freeze, and Chadwell all have interest across the country. No one else is calling up Shane Beamer. If he thinks he can get the VT job than let him go be their problem.

The only way a Beamer hire works out is if you have at least one long term elite OC or DC and have a rotation of good ones coming through at the other spot.

Literally every name other than Satterfield that has been remotely connected to our HC opening is better than Beamer.
Chadwell
Napier
Freeze
Brown
Brohm
Monken
Fickell
Sark
All would be much better than Beamer. Do I necessarily think all of them would have us in the top 25 year and year out? No. But I definitely know Beamer won’t and it’s clear he wants to use this job as a stepping stone to VT even though at best, they are a slightly lower than us on the totem pole.
