So, should I push my luck one more day or call it good? I think it's run it course, so 1 more day would be true overkill...

I suspect you'll have ample opportunity to point out some LSU fan hypocrisy regarding officiating before the season is out - smart $$$ says the Ole Miss game -

I have figured out how to put a bow on things but also leave the door open to bring it back up later. I'll drop my final thread on the matter tomorrow AM.

This is the play I've been looking for. It had the late hit out of bounds that didn't get called. I've posted it in the "flop" thread on the main board, but not going to elaborate on it.

The trap is set. God forbid a bad call goes against LSU the rest of the season...

Where are three more wins on this schedule? Is this the year Vandy finally gets us again after a long hiatus? Do we actually beat A&M?

I went with 5-7 and I am having a hard time seeing anything better. I guess Wofford and maybe A&M. Hopefully Vandy makes 6.

On a side note, I'm starting a campaign. I don't know why the sports information folks at the school have never thought of it, but I'm going to start refering to us as the ORIGINAL USC. Everyone knows we were a University before California was a state....

Vandy, Wofford, Mizzou, A&M, Clemson are all very winnable games. Even OU is a winnable game.

A&M struggled with Bowling green yesterday, Mizzou should have lost to Vandy....and Vandy lost to Georgia State. Clemson found an offense...but that same App State team lost 48-7 against S Alabama, and Nc State has a horrible defense

Which also means we don’t know how good we are. Nor do we know if Rocket and Sellers are going to be healthy.

It's pretty early so youre right. We can hang our hat on beating a UK team that went toe to toe with UGA, and hung close with LSU who beat UCLA by 2 touchdowns, and played So Cal really close.

I think if I was a mizzou fan id be concerned, and really wouldnt know what I have. you blow out a few awful teams...are confident, and then let Vandy keep it close

I feel much better about the season now then I did before it started. Could we still go 5-7 or worse? Absolutely.

Missouri, A&M, Vandy, Oklahoma and Clemson are all winnable games. Hell, we have a bye week before Ole Miss at home so crazier things have happened. The only game I really don't give us a chance in is at Alabama.

The defense has been a pleasant surprise so far. How our season pans out all depends on the offense. They show flashes of being good and then god awful play-calling gets in the way.

We should be 4-0 right now which absolutely no one expected.

* points to my prediction of 15-0

all trolling aside I honestly did expect us to be atleast 3-1 at this point, but that murders row coming up I didnt really expect much. I think now I feel better about that murders row. Taking one of those games, and being competitive in the others would be a huge step forward for this program. 8 wins this year would be a huge deal for the perception of gamecock football. Our schedule is brutal this year

bye week - things that appear to be characteristic of this team -

the good - Carolina defense - 14 sacks (3rd most nationally) and 9 turnovers forced (4th nationally)

the bad - team - 33 penalties (118th) for 293 yards (117th)

the ugly - Carolina offense - 33 tackles for loss allowed (118th) for 170 lost yards (134th worst in FBS) - this includes sacks 16 sacks for 127 yards lost - both worst in FBS -

Gamecock rush offense is sitting at just over 192 YPG (40th nationally) - that's the most since

2023 - 85 ypg
2022 - 119
2021 - 137
2020 - 168 / Kevin Harris led SEC in rushing <----
2019 - 150
2018 - 153
2017 - 122
2016 - 135

Going with the always safe 5-7, and thus 6-6 with a bowl berth will be a welcomed surprise.

Yep we’re not even going to win 5.

I'm starting to believe the idea that nobody good wants to coach as Beamer's OC -

since Spurrier we've had -

Kurt Roper
Brian McClendon
Mike Bobo
Marcus Satterfield
Dowell Loggains

...calling plays

I havent seen a fade route, or backshoulder in 10 years. I know there are good OC's but id love to see like a GA Mangus bring back that old fun and gun.

also it just feels like whoever is coaching Sellers has regressed him. The kid is just high on every throw

Ray Tanner is the constant variable for all of those hires. I'm praying whoever replaces him comes in here and fixes this garbage product we've been given for the past decade.
