This feels a lot like the John Hunt situation under Spurrier. Everyone knows he needs to be replaced, yet we keep him around hoping against hope his group will get better, all the while knowing it won't. I love the fact he's a Gamecock fan growing up, that he wants to be here, and that he's passionate and loyal. That said, he isn't very good at his job. Let's keep in mind he has been here and has been able to essentially pick the players he wanted. This isn't a group he inherited and is just trying to do the best he can like the other coaches on the staff. These are the guys he wanted. After 15 year of coaching, or whatever the number is, 2 camps aren't going to change his style and make him better. I hope he proves me completely wrong, but he should have been let go this year, and I'm sure we'll be having this exact same conversation 12 months from now.

If he truly loves this University as much as he says he does, though, wouldn't he want what is the absolute best for this team? Wouldn't he want to see us contend not just for the East, not just the SEC, but national titles regularly? I would think even if Elliott was a blind man, he would see and recognize by now that he just is not getting it done..and it is not a lack of talent on the player's parts. Hell, even if it was, wouldn't he have to admit by now that those are his players, his recruits, under his coaching and tutelage, that are not succeeding? And that, recognizing that the issue lies with him, wouldn't he graciously take his leave and allow someone who can succeed to come in and lead the OL at this University that he says he loves with all that he is?
Just some sincere questions I have regarding Elliott.

From scroosters post history about him, it really seems like he cares more about his own skin and keeping the checks coming in than "the good of the university".

It's official now ... mUSChamp has issued a statement saying there will be no changes to his coaching staff this year.

First, hey stranger! I haven't been around all that much lately...looooong story.
Second, my reactions to Muschamp's statement:

Hey CG! Good to see you back.
Yeah, well, with regard to keeping all the coaches I think it probably not only has to do with recruiting right at the moment, but timing, relationships in state, the relationship with Dillman and, also, ... mUSChamp thinks he pulled the trigger too quickly his first couple of years at UF.
Next year though - all bets are off.
