Seems smart. No reason to give a recruit any reason to waiver on his commitment.

So I've finally got some news.

Apparently we have an opening on the staff for another full time coach. Something I must have missed during my hiatus (sp) but evidently we're all allowed ten full time coaches on the staff now.

So word is we're in the market for another offensive mind ... a play caller.

No intention to get rid of Roper unless he willingly wants to leave for another position somewhere ... and he is hearing the rumblings from the fans.

Muschamp values his ability as a QB coach and as a really good analyst and offensive mind ... but there are evidently some concerns with the play calling although Muschamp is taking some of the blame for that as he has final decision rights on every play called.

There is some concern about stepping on toes if BMac is moved into the play calling position. I could not glean if that was in reference to perhaps a #10 coach being hired or if there could be friction between BMac and Roper if that were to happen or even if perhaps BMac didn't want that responsibility. Also, no chance Bobby Bentley is moved into a play calling roll.

That's what I got ... take it fwiw. Came from a good sauce.

Everyone is recruiting full bore right now. mUSChamp and company were at Berkeley today after a couple of prospects down there.

Ehhh

I see no issue with it if he’s not calling plays.

I'm with you. One thing roper had done as well as anyone in the country is identfying qb talent.

Yeah it was part of the new rule changes along with early signing period. From what I've gleaned from reports slash our war eagle brethren this may be a great fit. Rhett lashlees name had come up in all of this. He and roper would strengthen each other's weaknesses.

I mentioned Rhett in one of the threads on here regarding OC

Would love that and you would certainly think we could get him away from Uconn

Somebody is coming to take that #10 slot with serious play calling chops it would appear.

I'm a paint design engineer in aerospace world, plus I work nights so I wear wtf I want unless I'm entertaining customers.

Reporters seem pretty set that Roper is definitely out. However, your intel has always been more reliable.

Making 750k here, probably will get a raise at the end of the year.

Do you think we go to 1 mil?

$1 Mill sounds reasonable. TRob is a loyal guy, and he moved his mom up here from Miami. It would take a lot for him to move again so soon.

No.

I know TRob. I've been to his Momma's house ... long story but anyways. He's not going anywhere yet. He will one day but not this off season. He's on a mission and he loves it here.

I'm far more worried about Mike Peterson to Florida right now..
