Ya - that post by him gave me a good chuckle today. I honestly think it’s more likely he gets drafted into the army..

Paul Jackson is officially hired on as our new S&C coach.

Salary at $300,000 with $150,000 in external benefits/compensation.

Pretty happy with this hire. Hope to see leg injuries reduce next year with him on staff now.

Im hesitant. Ole miss had just as many injuries as us in 2018 and thats saying something. Theyve had a history with injury bugs with Jackson. Idk if it was the right hire, but its gotta be better than dillman.

Its not as easy as it sounds to get a coach that will satisfy.

The good ones have current gigs.

Why plural with that?

Do we not all agree that Thomas Brown was an upgrade at the RB coach spot?

Nothing points to Bobo being a worse OC than McClendon

When McClendon was just a WR coach, his current gig now, we were pretty good at that spot.

I have zero knowledge of this new S&C coach, but even if you hate this hire, all the others since Thomas Brown have been solid.

Really, Dabo had no problem succeeding at it? And we can all agree he's no Mensa candidate.

Its called give up your money to hire the best get paid really f'ing well down the road when you win. Its not called rocket science.

I may be wrong but didn't we have more rushing yards the year b4 Brown came then we did this year. The guy obviously is a good recruiter but as a coach the jury is still out.

Last year in 13 games 444 Carries for 1986 Yards 4.5 yards per carry
Leading Rusher: Rico Dowdle 123 Carries for 654 Yards (5.3 ypc)

This year in 12 games
396 Carries for 1796 yards 4.5 YPC
Leading Rusher: Tavian Feaster 124 Carries for 672 yards (5.4 YPC)

Not like that extra game mattered, but I'd say it was pretty even factoring in how much worse we were this year and the less carries (same YPC)

Let me add Feaster had a very good year this year.
Must have sucked for him to move on from a team like that to a team like this.

Thanks IBG! So , going by the numbers, there wasn't a upgrade from Bentley to Brown.

Ehh Dowdle looked fat better this year, and Feaster played well. They just both got hurt at points and we struggled then. The play calling for the run game was shite also, predictable. That said, the RB’s looked a hell of a lot better

To be fair the teams this year were loading the box and making Ryan beat them cause they knew he was a true freshman and hurt....
