I hope we lose every game in every sport until Tanner and Beamer are excommunicated from their roles with our with our University and hope they are banned from the state.

This a complete and utter shitshow.

I don't really mind Beamer. Assuming he's not 100% autonomous (and why would he be, he's never done this before), I get the idea of bringing in an energetic guy to take a CEO approach. Muschamp's teams never really looked like they wanted to play a game as a team to win a game, Beamer could certainly fix that quickly. What I don't understand is how you take a chance on a guy like Beamer then saddle him with a serially proven loser to run a dinosaur offense.

I don't really like the Beamer hire, but I'm willing to give the man a chance. HOWEVER, if this team was a failing team last year, and by every metric we were, why do we keep 4 of Will Muschamp's FAILED HIRES!?!?!?

I mean seriously, we fired Muschamp early so that we weren’t in a situation like 2016 where all of our top options were taken. So we had our pick of the litter, several up and coming coaches that had learned under great coaches (Napier), proven program builders (Chadwell), and guys who had success in the SEC with less resources than us (Freeze) and we still pick the damn position coach that no one else had any interest in because he some guys played Call of Duty in the locker room with him a decade ago.

PREACH ON.

The more I think about it, the more I significantly dislike this hire.

So I guess I'll just try to stop thinking about it.

I still think Chadwell would have been the better call.

I do believe that the only reason Bobo was kept was to finish out his contract and not buy him out as well. Notice the WR coach was let go that came and worked with him his whole tenure at CSU and under him as a GA I believe. My thinking is that the new WR coach will be a spread guy, like Kimrey is, to transition with Bobo’s run game concepts which actually worked very well.

This could just be a year to save the school another buyout and transition into a hybrid spread/pro offense similar to what we ran when Beamer was here the first time.

I go to Miami for the week and this is what I come back to?

#Gamecocks @CoachSBeamer has officially named 7 to staff: OC/QBs - Mike Bobo, RBs - Des Kitchings, OL - Will Friend, TE - Erik Kimrey, DL - Tracy Rocker, OLBs - Mike Peterson, STs - Pete Lembo. Connor Shaw will return in a to-be-determined, off-the-field role.

Mason would be great news. Think he uses a spur-like hybrid too.

I'm trying not to get overly excited about Mason even though that be so legit. Everything that's happened so far with the hires having direct ties to shane or ties to other hires points more towards Bateman. Our new ST coach lembo had Bateman as his dc 3x before he went to army
