I know a guy who won $1mill back about 5 years ago out of York County. Lump sum payout after taxes was around $636k, which was enough money to change a 27 year old's life at the time. Anyways, he had every person imaginable asking him for money, and he started buying all of this stupid stuff for his gf. He bought her a new car and a $5,000 dog. He ran through all but $100k of the money in about 18 months. It was one of the saddest things I have seen. I know $1.6 billion is a lot different, but I bet the pressures on the winner will be a lot stronger too. Definitely have to remain anonymous in these situations and trust only a few.

You also have to keep no one close to you in life.

Just your family.

100% agree. I wasn't friends with this guy, but knew him well. He went from the mountain top to the cellar pretty quickly. Every moocher he knew needed money.

I’m a little different. I would let everyone know I won. Kind of be a frick you to them all, leave a sack with $100,000 in it for them to fight over as I go into hiding.

If I were you Garnet, I wouldn’t worry. I’d have your back at all times. Every country you visit, every sporting event, all the ho houses. That’s what a well paid body guard does.

Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you

Lololololol. All hail the Garned. Forged from the heat and pressure of the center of the earth. Volcanos erupted, the ground shook around the world. 5 mile high waves washed the ground clean to make ready the arrival of the, one and only, posters of posters, theeeeeeee GARNET.
