The Romans built a wall to keep my ancient ancestors in Scotland and we were distillers for generations.
Going into battle painted in woad naked as a bird and ropes binding each warrior to the next so they all survived or died together.
The Scotti tribe that settled Scotland was originally from Ireland and drinking is what the Irish are known for.
The Scots gave us whiskey, golf, bagpipes, and haggis. What kind of craziness did the Germans give us?

Wall did a pretty good job I think. They tried that with my great granddaddies and got three of their legions massacred. Ah you know, the basics...England, modern beer, the printing press, the Reformation, Bach and Beethoven, Hamburgers and many Sausages, the automobile, modern rocketry, and 93 more nobel laureates than Scotland.
Full disclosure tho, I’m actually 1/8 Scottish so I guess I’m a self-hating Scot. But you know, the current monarch of Scotland is German so I can’t go to hard.

You do know Rome fell from within long before the walls got sacked. Same will happen to us in a generation or two if we let the current folks in DC (both sides) let insiders ruin it all.

I've been out of town for the last 4 days. Wasnt me. I stopped looking at downvotes since all this went on. Posts like this are exactly what the person is wanting from it tbh
