I wouldn't think so because I believe Pearl still had an active " show cause" from the ncaa when we hired Frank.

I understand that, but that's what a show cause is
we can still hire him as long as we "show cause" to the NCAA
Auburn hired him despite still being under it.

South Carolina is not the type of school to be tied into a scandel or a coach that has that type of baggage. Auburn doesn't give a crap.
Wish we were more like Auburn in that aspect.

You guys should slow down on what Pearl would look like at SC.
Their win percentages at AU and SC are nearly identical and I think SC has a winning record vs Pearl at AU.
AU does have the two tournament appearances but I still think we got screwed in Carrera's last year.
I'm not so concerned about AU winning the SEC-T because I refuse to think we would have won it under Pearl because well.. we're us and SEC-Ts don't go well.
They did win the regular season title last year but that was with a 13-5 record. Martin hasn't been too far off that mark in 3/4 last 4 seasons. (A 12-6 and a pair of 11-7s)
I guess all I'm saying is if we had hired Pearl instead of Martin, I don't think you can just assume the success rate would really be all that different.

Pearl gets good players to go to fricking Auburn.
They’re the same school as us with a lot better football history.

I want a coach that can recruit.
Which requires cheating.
I don't want a coach that will cheat with a show clause/previous history over his head.
That'll mean the NCAA will come down doubly hard on the coach and the school if caught again.

He’s lied about a BBQ where a recruit was, he hasn’t been caught paying yet.
I’ll take what Pearl is doing even if it’s taken away down the road
