Don't programs have a maximum limit of official visits that they can allow for commits/prospects? Perhaps we are withholding some prospects - even commits - from using OVs so that we can use them to get other higher targets to come visit us, and get the red-carpet treatment.....

Just saw that too. He said it wouldn't affect his college decision. Not sure if it gives FSU a better shot or not.

Yeah he says that now, but I'm less confident that he comes to SC now that he is going to IMG.
I'm just a recruiting pessimist.

This is correct. Dillman was the S&C coordinator there before going to work with that lunatic that Bama has. I can never remember his name.
In other news, Tony over at 247 reported this morning that he would be surprised if Kyshaun Bryan from St. Thomas ended up being a part of the 2017 class. Didn't give a reason. And now as I type that I went back to see exactly what he said and the way I typed above is how he said it "... a part of this Gamecock class." I am one that reads waaaay too much into things so the wording there leads me to believe it could potentially be an academic thing and he might have to JUCO, but the obvious interpretation is probably more likely.
EDIT: Tony said in the comments that it is due to us backing off. I did read somewhere that his performance this year has left a lot to be desired and he isn't getting as much PT.

Hopefully XT will be able to recruit some of those other blue chip guys to come here and play in Columbia.

one guy that I didn't see being talked about on here, and falls under the same "I didn't even know this guy was interested" category as 4* DT Stephon Taylor did last year is 4* OT Tony Gray.
Gray has offers from all the big boys, Elliot and McClendon did an in home with him yesterday, and he goes to the same HS as current commit Jamyest Williams.

He was at the UT game with Jamyest Williams and had positive things to say as well. Still at this point I have to think he's a UGA guy but no one ever knws until they sign on the dotted line.

3* DL Devonte Wyatt is a UGA commit who said,"“I talked to Coach Thompson two day ago,” Wyatt said. “He came to the school and we talked about my grades and things. He said they will still try to get me.”
About the strength of his Georgia commitment, Wyatt said, “It’s kind of strong, at about 70%. But there’s probably a chance of South Carolina getting me back. Coach Thompson is recruiting me hard.”

All news from the ov weekend seemed positive. However one bit of news left me perplexed. MJ webb is our highest rated DL prospect in this year's class. He is considered one of the top ten DEs in this class. In his interview he said they are going to move him inside, which lead me to ask Tony over at 247 the following question: who the fresh are our de's?
Looking at last year's class, the DEs were:
Kier Thomas (now DT)
Darius Whitfield (transferred)
Aaron Thompson(haven't heard much)
Sadarius Hutcherson (now in running for OT)
DJ Wonnum (decent amount of PT)
Griffin Gentry (heard nothing on him)
So really one guy with two other down the chart.
