SC has help in Concord.
Also, just fyi. 4* DT Rick Sandidge's mom is an SC Grad, she got her MSW (Masters in Social Work) here.

I have heard that Nasirildeen is a silent to us. I was told that he called the coaches on Tuesday night and told them he was coming.

No public timetable has been set but it looks like he wants to commit before his season starts. So could be any day now

Yes, I saw some stuff on the bama rivals board about him not being a take, but that's more sour grapes stuff. He is currently one of their top2 Safety choices, 247bama had an article this week about it. He just went to camp there less than a month ago.
If you follow the info here:
He camped at bama July 17
He's mentioned an a half dozen bama 247 recruiting articles, including Aug 4th and Aug 8th as one of their top Safety targets.
Then he did some other camps at florida and florida state.
- He ends up making both their 10 Most Wanted Lists.
He came by the SC Cookout on the 23rd.
He's been in contact with our staff and support structure since then.
Tuesday/Wednesday word gets out that he is looking harder/more favorably at SC.
Thursday bama rivals board said they cooled on him.
Not a big deal, happens all the time, it's just funny about the sour grapes when they are so obviously sour. There are of course legit times when a school backs off, like when we backed off NC RB Javon Peake (which I think is a mistake,) but it is what it is, and there have been guys we wanted and recruited till the end who went to clemson or somewhere else. It's just funny when people throw that phrase out there and it's not accurate.

Bama's top 3 S choices are Devon Hunter (VT lock) Jacoby Stevens (LSU commit) Todd Harris (from LA has all CBs to LSU) so I think they really dropped the ball if it's true Nasirildeen wasn't a take.

That one is surprising since I believe Bartow owns clemson's 247 site. If he switched his pick to SC that holds a lot of merit, IMO. I was hoping we would get Smith, but I never fully believed it since his mom went there.

Well I think it says a lot that we lead in CBs now on 247.
Also I read on CT that Phil Kornblut said Terrell is now announcing on Friday? Be still my beating heart. Again, CT disclaimer but I still think he goes to Clemmy.

I agree, JC at 247 was saying Hamsah might announce this week. Most of the guys in the shop are unc or instate school fans, they know I'm a Gamecock, so they might have just been tight lipped or not following him anymore. I don't know. Last couple times I was up there they had lots of good info on him, like when he was considering switching HS's. This time, not so much.

Yeah, he's going to clemson. We were added late by him as a lead group back in July, but it seemed to come out of nowhere. I was hoping we would get a visit or something, but now that I hear that he's announcing before a visit, I think I ascertain that we were just supposed to be another hat on the table, so he could show that he's picking clemson over us and some other teams. It's just showmanship, it is what it is.
