They had the best deal for him, and even allow him to wear any other brands on the field while playing. They probably just want to use him for tv/store/periodical merchandising.

They do, but Clowney might like to actually play in another brand's shoe, or another brands sock, or wrist band or whatever and now he won't be held back by that. I don't know the full scoop on the deal, but I wonder if Clowney could also sign deals with Nike to agree to wear their shoes during games. If so, and he's double dipping, that's a sweet deal.

IMO, Ricky Fowler looks stupid as hell on the golf course. Especially now that he wears that huge flat bill Blink 182 style hat with his short hair.
