So obviously I think we still want him gone or at least need to see it one more game but

You go out and put 94 points up on #5 and #8 in back to back weeks. We score more points this year than almost any other year (yes two of those were garbage teams).

I am just curious how that conversation goes.

Chance he goes to Nebraska with Rhule. Honestly, idk at this point. A lot hinges on if Rattler returns. I hope he does, he can really sling it when he has time.

Don't think the bowl game is gonna be a good representation because we'll have some boys sit out. Bell most likely.

It kinda feels like Satt pulled his head out of his arse these last two weeks, or maybe Beamer did it for him idk, but whatever is cooking at the moment is hot and I'm all about the hot hand. Wins are wins are wins. Whatever they're doing is working so I say stick to it.

Well I don't think it's obvious at this point he should be gone.

Starting over is harder than it seems and it looks like the lights have come on.

The last thing we should want is starting over.

Yes Fire Satt.Look at his whole body of work not just the last 2 games where he may or may not have been the play caller.

The strange thing is that it's been the same plays all year. Rattler is finally seeing the field and the plays that have always been there.

For whatever reason, recruits love Satterfield. Check Dante Reno's Twitter, for example.

Dunno if it's enough to keep him, but Satterfield has done a fine job the last few weeks.

To think, if USC hadn't shite the bed against Mizzou and UF, they could be a red-hot dark horse for the CFP.

I think that we've got no other choice but to keep him.

But he's on double super strict probation. Any backsliding and Bye Felica....

So our OC didn't try different plays or concepts when his QB wasn't able to handle his play calling. So he just kept calling the Same plays... that's a reason to fire him right there.

I have to be on satts side here. I have no doubt that our offense will be who they are in our bowl game.

Whoever we play should be very concerned. That is why he needs another year.

Arent you tired of starting over?

Putting Atkins in the backfield to help on max protection plays for Spencer to go downfield was a huge change he made. It solidified the offensive line a bit- notice all of a sudden pass blocking was better - and the QB had way more time to sit in the pocket and take more down field shots during games. Which in turn make the offense far more dynamic, and made defenses have to guard more of the field and for longer. Add to that, it allowed getting another TE on the field without pulling one of the playmakers off the edge.

I'm not a Satterfield fan per se, but after 1000 yards of offense in two games against two top ten teams in monumental wins, seems like it would difficult to fire him. I think he does need to produce in the bowl game though. But maybe he has learned a few lessons through this year.

Let's break it down using facts.

Season 1 Offense sucked all year until the bowl game.
Gamecock fans: Satt finally got it together he deserves another year.

Season 2 Offense sucks the first 10 games. Then something happened behind the scenes and our offense found it's footing
Gamecock fans: Satt finally got it together he deserves another year.

See a pattern? Are we willing to go 8-9 games next year before he finally gets it together?

IF these are the same plays he has called all year but it took Rattler this long to understand than why were changes not made the first 10 games and things simplified? That's on Satt.

I'm looking at the whole picture and not just the last couple of games because we already have seen it for one year.

Hearing that Satt is one of the top OC candidates for Rhule at Nebraska.

The problem might be taking care of itself. Time will tell.

I think they knew Satterfield was going to Nebraska for a few weeks. I think Beamer forced a change in the play planning/play calling which included one or more from the offensive staff. Our change in offense coincides with the Rhule to Nebraska rumor.

Honestly it's a win/win for us. We get a new guy and Beamer gets to save face with his "best man".
