Beamer has fulfilled his obligation to Oklahoma and should be ready to line up his coaching staff and work on any remaining recruits he can bring in next February.
Derek Mason would be a knockout choice for DC if you understand he will only be there for a couple of years before he gets another HC job. Major Applewhite might be ready to move up from Arky State and has plenty of experience.
Who are your choices for DC and OC?

He's already here. Main thing we've been hearing is Bobo/Garrett Riley co-oc and either Bateman from unc or heacock from Iowa state for DC

If this is true about Bobo I’m done.

It appears to be very true.

I'll be damned if I'm letting one coach run my arse off from supporting my team after everything I've already endured as a Gamecock.

frick that noise.

How is he talking about retaining the good coaching talent with Wolf gone already? And to KY no less, double screwed.

Heacock I like. Bobo as OC/QB coach and Riley as OC/run coach and play caller sounds good to me.

Sure we had plenty of sacks. But honestly we had one credible receiver, a QB with 3 ACLs and an offense that essentially begged opponents to stack the box and bring pressure.

Despite that we had the regular season SEC rushing champ. Plus his one class here with Spurrier and Beamer had 4 OL drafted. If I'm keeping coaches, for offense it's Shaw Kitchings and Wolf.

That's just one year. The offensive line coach that Wolf is replacing or IP was able to get more blue chip offensive linemen to Kentucky then Wolf has recruited in his entire career

I do agree that the sacks were largely due to receivers not being able to get open

Wolf's about evaluations, not blue chips. Given where our program is, relative to our rivals, and with an unproven new HBC, I'd take the evaluations over any prayer of us getting blue chip OL's anytime soon

I'd argue that Wolf has to be about evaluation because he can't land blue chips. We discussed NFL talent the 1st go around but hes only sent one guy to the NFL this time

Not sure what will happen with Wonnum, but he and Hutcherson will likely get a shot too. Who knows what other guys he recruited (even tho Hutcherson isn't his recruit). That'd still be the most OL drafted from Carolina since... Wolf's class with Spurrier. He may not be the absolute best option out there, but who else is on our secret list?

Better perspective, of the 8 OL drafted from Carolina since 2000 (13 since '90), Wolf recruited 5 of them.

I looked up wolf recruiter page. He's given credit for Dennis Daley, aj cann, and Corey Robinson. Who are the other 2 you're thinking of?

Meh, Rokavius Watkins and TJ Johnson were the other two. I was going off the recollection that he had 4 draft picks his first trip here, didn't verify he recruited all 4.

Hopefully we didn't drop Wolf to keep Bobo and pick up more Bobo guys. Why the frick did we fire Boom if we're just going to double down on his last ditch effort at offense? So much for Beamer ball.

I'll say this (and try to leave it alone). Beamer should have been here about 2 weeks ago.
