Walton and BAW are the only two I can think of. I am sure I am missing someone, though.

excited to see BAW in a Muschamp defense. Seems like a great kid.

I actually believe, and have good reason to think this, that we're thinning the herd some (late decommits) to make room for a strong finish.
Wait and see where these two decommits end-up.
I dunno ... I just have a feeling they know where they're going with this. They've got a good feel for where they stand and they know that now, with the decommits, they've got five left to give maybe I guess?
I keep hearing they want to save five outta this class for next year's class plus they are going to make room for another 3 or 4 through processing before the season starts.
We'll start the session with a schollie roster of between 73-75 and this will be one of our smallest redshirted classes in the past thirty years. If we redshirt more than 5 I'll be a little surprised, unless they are med reds.

So we have Brunson coming in as LB, moved Skai to Safety apparently, who do you guys see as our starting LB's next year?
We have returning guys with solid experience in Walton, Holloman, and Allen-Williams. Holloman and Walton have starting experience, and Allen-Williams has played extensively whether as LB or DE.
We also return veteran Jordan Diggs, who seems to have either positive or negative reviews but was the 5th-leading tackler for our defense last season.
We also have Larenz Bryant who was the highest-rated prospect of his class to us that cycle: he hasn't really progressed a lot while moving from Spur to LB, but he's got talent and hopefully Hutzler and the defensive staff can help turn on the light-bulb for him.
An interesting note, but the official athletics website roster now has Darius English listed as a "OLB" instead of DE. Hmmm....
We got other guys such as Earnest Hawkins and Sherrod Pittman who were also highly regarded prospects, so hopefully they can add to the depth.
Not including any of the incoming members of this class we should have some good depth with development and experience for the staff to work with. I just hope we see improvements in run defense more than backfield penetration and QB rushing, because IMO that was the biggest weakness of the LB units the past 2 seasons...

Bruce sticks with Miami.

The crazy thing is, Bruce silently committed to us during his OV, according to 247.

4* WR Javon Wims news:
3* WR Kiel Pollard News:

Word out of Georgia is that they feel very confident about holding on to Wims commitment... You never say never in recruiting, but I would be really surprised if he ended up anywhere but Athens.
3* WR Kiel Pollard News:

After speaking with several sources, South Carolina still feels confident that he will flip to the Gamecocks... Also, I hear that while Georgia has shown interest, it hasn't been all that heavy to this point.

Jordan Woods commits to Georgia Tech. I was told earlier today he was down the board a bit for the Gamecocks, so he probably made a wise choice and picked a sure thing. I can't rule out him visiting USC still this weekend, but I doubt it.

Pollard told PK that he should know by Sunday where he's going to go. Both HC's had their in-home visit. ark sent some Asst Coaches on Monday and BMac and Roper are going Wednesday to meet him.

Anybody know what developments Chris Clark is referring to? Follow him on twitter, but can't access Gamecock central from my work computer.

His OV to UF is up in the air now. if he doesn't take the UF OV then he will decide between USC and A&M for his final visit. So come on TRob, get him in here. Also the Arky in-home has been cancelled.
Copied from Cockytalk in class and didn't want to type it out. Its about Fulton.

Interesting. I know that TRob has been putting in work this week, so hope this pays off.

Hinson is a playmaker who we really need at TE. Our depth chart is wide open there.
I like our chances against So Cal b/c of distance.

https://www.prepforce.com/video/8513/2016-rb-ath-rico-dowdle-2015-season-highlight-remix
Rico Dowdle's new Sr Season Highlights. Some of these are the same plays from the one I posted a month ago, but I didn't recognize all of them.
He's fast, legit fast, definitely sub 4.5. He moves so effortlessly ( I enjoyed the slow motion effects they put on some of his cuts, but they didn't need to do that,) he looks like he floating at full speed. He's a different type of RB/runner than Tyren Jones. Jones runs more 'joystick' like and Dowdle is like AJ Turner and everything is smooth and like he's on skates. Dowdle has to learn to run with the ball closer to his body, at the next level, LB's and DB's are going to strip that ball with the quickness.
If there's one guy on our commit list who's drastically underrated, it's Dowdle. 247 has him as a low 4*, Rivals as a 3*. However, IMO he's a mid-mid/high 4* across the board. He's the steal of this class. Depending on how well Turner's developed this year, we may or may not see Dowdle this year, but I think he'll be on the 2 deep in '17. He's bigger and faster than Turner.
Dowdle is a lot like Pharoh out of HS. Cooper was the best HS player in the state his last year in HS. Havelock was a great team though, so he had help to make him look good. The first time I saw a complete game with him was in the state championship game against Concord. Derrell Scott and Rocky Reid were out there, but Cooper was the MVP of the game. Then he went to the NC/SC Shrine Bowl and he was the best player and MVP of that game as well. That's when 247 and Rivals bumped him to a low 4 star. Next Cooper went on to be All SEC and All American at SC, and will now get a NFL contract. I think Dowdle could do the same at SC.

I'm surprised we don't get more high end tight ends than we do. I mean think about it. We send more tight ends to the next level than almost any other position. Adams is projected 4th round, Justice Cunningham, Busta Anderson, Jared Cook... and those are just the ones since I went to Carolina. It's unreal.

Add in Wes Saunders too. We had a legit shot with 5* Issac Nauta before Spurrier's 2-3 comment, Mangus had us in the game with him.
Posted on 1/27/16 at 7:27 am to CockInYourEar
I knew I was missing one but I couldn't remember Saunders' name for some reason.
