Well... it will expire before they play their first SEC game. Hopefully they get to keep it, because it reeks of envy.

I hate the fricking map trophies worse - the frickING map trophies must go. I can hand you money envelopes across the county line that absolve me of any knowledge of something like...umm...the map trophies vanishing maybe?

I can speak as an OU fan. I am happy we are going into the SEC because it will be fun to go to the various venues. And let’s be honest, we have been recruiting against the SEC label especially since A&M went to the SEC.
Most of us consider the SEC the best conference most years. Where we got annoyed is the way the media talk about the SEC as if they are a different division from the rest of college football.
You hear that even when Vandy is playing. “They are moving the ball against an SEC defense!” Crap like that.
Or like asking PSU’s coach what it feels like to beat an SEC team. Coach should have said, “We didn’t beat the SEC. We beat Auburn. Penn State isn’t intimidated by Auburn.”
I am not going to change my opinion on that when we get into the SEC.
Unlike A&M, our tradition speaks for itself. We aren’t going to act like just being in the SEC makes us winners.
