It's easy to say this in hindsight, but we was still being projected around 25 by virtually every source until about a week ago

Meh. Cooper will be fine. Point guards of his stature rarely hop into the lottery or whatever by sticking around. Point guards of his stature rarely stick around in the league to begin with. Either he will be an exception or he won’t. Another year at Auburn wouldn’t have changed that

Cooper isn’t really going to improve defensively. He’ll always be a liability there given his size. If he learns anything from Trae, he needs to learn that floater. He’s going to have to completely rebuild his shot and Trae can’t help him there. He has a place in the league if he can get his shot down. His passing, handle and first step are all very good now.
