My Wife is a 4th grade teacher and gave an assignment to compare and contrast modern presidents. One of her students compared each Auburn coach to following.
Shug-FDR
Barfield-Carter (total disaster from start to finish)
Dye-Reagan (resurrected the program much like Reagan did the country)
Bush Sr-Bowden
Tuberville- Clinton
Chizik- W Bush (Started out great, ended poorly. Not equiped for job)
Malzahn- Trump (drove the establishment crazy and ended up being ousted by boosters=media)

The kid got an A

That's actually fairly accurate

The amazing part is, outside of Shug the terms of both AU HCs and Presidents line up pretty well. Chiz was much more like Dubya than Obama.

Dye = Andrew Jackson, hard drinking tough man

Bowden = Warren G. Harding, womanizing drunk, died in office

Tubbs = James K. Polk, did a good solid job

Malzahn = Woodrow Wilson, had a stroke during second term

Chizik = Gerald Ford, better than Nixon, could not beat Carter

I'd say Tater Tot is Clinton, with regards to fricking the help.

No 4th grader came up with this. It’s a stretch to believe they would have any real knowledge of those presidents and they definitely don’t know the coaches from Auburn for the last 50 years.

That's actually pretty good, and amazing for a 4th Grader.

I'd pick a different POTUS for Shug though, although I can see the comparison since FDR spent the most time as President and Shug was the longest tenured Auburn coach.
