Villanova played them better. We weren’t ourselves missing from three. Jared Butler woke up and that was that

Houston had the easiest path. The quality of opponents were weak.
Agreed, and Houston itself was overrated and weak. I wasn't trying to say we had the easiest path and we squandered it. We lost to the national champion and played a legit opponent in the second round. But we didn't run into Baylor until the Elite Eight, when we had already put our names back on the map. Contrast that with running into North Carolina in the second round a few years back, ending our Sweet Sixteen+ chances.
Also, Colgate wasn't actually good. People picked them for the upset because it's March Madness and people love an underdog. We let them hang around because our team had a fatal allergy to playing well in the first half.

Arkansas played Baylor closer than anyone else in the tournament. Alabama lost to the team that lost to the team that lost the NC to Baylor. LSU lost so early that no one even remembers the game.
Hang the banner, Arkansas.

Colgate was good for a mid major but Arkansas played tense in the first half and Colgate played smarter. But that changed in the second half. They weren't very athletic but they could shoot the three.
ORU in comparison was much better athletically. Abmas is the quickest player that I have ever seen. Muss had to change the lineup with guard play and they still couldn't guard him. Not only that but he was a 90 percent free throw shooter. So we couldn't guard him and we couldn't foul him. They were also one of the best three point shooting teams in the nation.

Villanova lost by 11. Although it was closer at halftime, Arkansas is a come-from-behind team, so that's not a fair comparison.
I watched the Villanova game and they did play great, though.

Villanova was actually winning. For a while.

I mean, that's just because the roles were reversed, so we started out playing lower seeds this time. The 3rd seed never plays the #1 seed in the 2nd round, but we still played the highest seeded team we could have in Texas Tech.

Yeah, I watched the game. Villanova was good, but they ran out of gas.

Villanova lost by 11.
We lost by 9 because Baylor fouled with like 6 seconds left. Villanova led their game most of the first half, Arkansas never had a lead in the entire game against Baylor.
