It's way to early, but Falcons will likely trade back to get future picks and take a defensive player in round 1.

Unless they plan on tanking at some point over the next few years, this would be a colossal mistake.

Falcons have more needs than QB in this draft. Go after defense due to losing leads late when the defense was gassed.

It is time for this franchise to shift away from the win now mode they've been in for the last few years and time to start planning for the future (read: life after Matt and Julio). This team is a very, very long way from contention.

I’ve given up on seeing them in another SB in my lifetime.

See I disagree. Over half of their losses were by one score.

That's coaching.

Do you have the winning Powerball#'s too there, Miss Cleo?

Half of the wins were also by one score.

They underperformed by probably three games this year (fortunately, for draft purposes). They probably should have gone 7-9, which is still a long, long way from being a contender.

By contender, I don't mean contender to squeak into the last wild card spot. I mean legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The weapons are there at most positions. I could see a big step forward in year 1 of a great coaching staff. Of course, I could easily see 8-8 as well.

It wouldn't surprise the hell out of me if this team won the division next year. Get a home playoff game. Anything can happen.

Starting to sound like Wilson will go top 3.

McShay out there saying Wilson is “significantly” better than Fields.

Wilson might be NY bound.

I agree. If this happens, I'd like to see a trade down or maybe draft Lance and have him sit behind Ryan. I'm not sold on Fields.

I do believe someone would give us a nice haul of picks to move above Cincinnati for Penei Sewell.

If we trade down, I wouldn't hate it if we could get one of the top WRs (Smith, Chase) or Patrick Surtain. We need pass rush help too but Gregory Rousseau is the most overrated player in this draft, IMO.

I'd love to trade back and grab him at 8 or 9.

Grab a QB with 2nd round pick. Develop them behind Matt. If nobody you like is there, think about replacing Matt through free agency in 2 years.

Nope.

We’re in a good spot with our pick. Just have to figure out which route the new staff will take. If we don’t get Wilson, I feel good about Arthur Smith developing a QB. He did wonders for Tannehill.

I'm not sold that the Jets are taking a QB. I could see Saleh sticking w/Darnold. He hasn't got a fair shake IMO. Gase is a dumbass who set him up to fail.

I LOVE Wilson. Star written all over him.

Same here.

You should go over to the main tRant. They are over there sucking Mac Wilson's dick thinking he's gonna be the next Brady. Nauseating.
