Has Tennessee ever been a good coaching job

....when the West was good? In the years since the SEC went to 12 teams and 2 divisions, Tennessee has been very good in East at times, when the East was clearly better than the West. However, they often were still only second best to Florida. When the West has been good, Tennessee seems to be a dead end job, especially when Alabama is dominate in the West since Tennessee must face the Tide every season.

If Fulmer had tapped out around 2000, they would have still been seen as a very good job.

If the Vols are gonna fire Pruitt I hope they do it fast so we can add him back on the staff.

Pruitt is going to be considered toxic for a while, so I doubt you’re getting this guy back anytime soon.
