UF is lucky to win 5 games this year without Trask.

The worst part is explaining to girlfriends what's going on, because you know they don't get it but they just want to support you.
At least my girlfriend gets it, but it's still hard because LSU is terrible.
Also, I just have to say, too: Mullen is a very good coach, he is a championship level coach, but more often than not he just gets in his own way and has a lot of ego.
We saw it with Franks starting over Trask, honestly. He was far more concerned with fixing Franks than he was winning.
I feel like he tripped over his own dick tonight, too, by sitting Pitts out. Which to some degree I understand, and I really do: We should be able to handle a very depleted LSU team without Pitts, however...
If you have the weapons, that is their job. Pitts came to Florida to play, he plays. Period. Trask can really only do so much, but he had 474 yards on the game and four touchdowns.
We should be able to win games with those numbers, regardless of turnovers. Our defense has just been so disappointing.

The guy who just threw for the second most touchdowns in a single season and an okay running game, with the worst defense in decades which means that he literally has to have almost a perfect game, and even when he doesn't we still only lose by a field goal?
Trask is pretty much our entire offense, and we're so goddamn lucky he's here because we would be in a lot of trouble without him.
We have 40 Trask TD passes and 6 non-Trask rushing Touchdowns.
171 passing first downs, 69 rushing first downs.
We would have lost to Kentucky last year without him. I'm not even sure if Mullen would be our coach if it weren't for Trask, because Franks would have lost a ton of games.
And if you're going to say Emory should have started let me laugh the loudest in your face.

Mullen clearly thought he could sleep walk that game and just sort of let us go out uninspired. This is his third year, so if he doesn't fire anyone or kick someone (Wilson) off of the team it's likely we'll have another coach sooner than we anticipated.
I felt worse about that game than Georgia Southern, which is a half-insult at LSU but this game was very, very winnable and the defense found a way to lose it multiple ways.
From bad play, being out of position, throwing a shoe, penalties in general.
Oof.
