In my previous post I said Shi has been dropping it more than I would want him to. IBG provided a link where it said Shi only had 1 drop during the first 6 games (IBG, do you know how many he had at the end of last season?). IBG is just showing the correlation between Hill throwing and Shi's uptick in dropped passes this year. The drop rate is inverse, so leading the team in drop rate is actually having the least amount of drops.
But he also said Hill could be blamed for Shi's drops but then added that Shi led the team in drop rates last season...proving that it may more on Shi than Hill.

In the article it said, "The best, at least in terms of drop percentage, is junior Shi Smith, who has 38 receptions and only one drop."
IBG said he led the team in drop rate, but I believe he meant to say he led the team as having the best drop percentage.
ETA: Again, that was through 6 games, I wonder how many more drops he had later in the season.

Last year Smith lead the team in drop rate

He had the lowest drop rate on the team at the time of that article
In a stat like that, it means he lead the team

The article is from last year
As of November 23 when the article was published he had the best drop rate on the team
Meaning he lead the team

Yes, he had the lowest drop rate.
Meaning he lead the team in drop rate
The article was through the first 9 games of the season so just didn’t have stats from the Clemson game (which he had 5 receptions)
Based on SECStat Cat, he didn’t have a drop in that game either
Ended the season with 43 receptions and 1 drop
LINK
This year he already has 8
This website only tracks back to 2018

I think he also is talking a lot more shite this year, and there could just be a little lack in focus
