I'm thinking you are all former HS or college level... likely OCs, DCs and a few HCs as well. So I'd like your opinion on running a specific play a specific way. Y'all got a minute??

So the team that's already ordered their SECE Championship banner, the Gators, ran this play at least twice last year against LSU. Not sure if they ran it against anyone else because I don't keep up with that team. But anyway, they run a play that most teams have in their playbook... the run option, and I damn curious as to why they have the QB & RB freeze for 1 to 2 seconds after the play starts??? Did Mullen coach that or is that a Trask thing? Is it so the play can start to develop? I thought that maybe the QB was reading off the defense, but he appears to be staring at the ground the whole like.

Anyway, I was browsing some games from last year because I remember the bama loving announcer saying the LSU survived this game. LSU survived against AU and the second half push by a1abama... nothing else.
