lazy recruiter but excellent player development coach Mullen starts to add 5* players to the roster. We have gone from 0 to 4 (correct me if I am wrong) between transfers and recruits. Also, big time JuCo signees are a Mullen staple.
Lazy recruiter my arse.

I've been telling people to just relax.
Not many people have sweet lips like Kirby, where a guy with no HC experience just happens to have surprise 5-star recruits land in their lap for really no reason at all (all the time).
I also think having a decade of mediocrity, two losing seasons and Mullen, while a good coach from MSST, even had guys like Reel saying he was a hunchback who couldn't get it done.
Watching Mullen take Trask, a lifetime benchwarmer, and light up the offense is actually a lot more significant than people even understand. That is not his style of offense. When he actually gets a QB that isn't Franks or Trask, he will have one of the best offenses in the country.
Trask is good, but he's not a fit for the system. Taking an offense built as the opposite of your own and fixing it one year is pretty impressive. Just imagine what it's going to look like once we have three QBs who all fit the system.
Mullen's right on track, Blue Chip ratio increased significantly and we're finally starting to land some top-tier talent. Some posters may need to eat some crow pretty soon.

If we can land elite lineman and an elite RB every 2 years. We good. Defensive recruiting has been outstanding lately, and WR we get enough talent as well.

Fantastic pickups recently and a very good sign for the future. If we have also some good OL and DL guys too, we'll always compete. Overall nice job by this staff.
