I would not be opposed to adding OU and Texas

Only if we pay them like the schools they shite on in the Big12 get paid.

If Canada can do it, so can the SEC.

Makes me wonder... he said the SEC is trying to get other TEAMS, not other

CONFERENCES
.

Couple that with the Nebraska statement about wanting to play, hoping it's in the Big 10, but they're looking at other options...

1 year deal, join the SEC for football this year?
Take Nebraska and a couple other schools wanting to play (Iowa is mentioned early as voting against shutting it down, and Ohio State has since spoken up, with their president saying they would not vote to cancel). Penn State also making noise about playing.

Easy enough to schedule; go back and erase the extra SEC games, add home/away (5-5) for each new school. I haven't done the math, but I think we could do it. Put 2 in each division temporarily.

Forget the bowls and CFP this year, play the "SEC Championship" as a 4 team playoff if you like.

What, honestly, could the Big 10 do? If they choose not to offer a football season, then those schools aren't violating a league rule, I don't think. They'd simply be participating in an "extra-conference" athletic season. Sure, they could try to lean on the schools, but I don't think they'd dare frick with Ohio State, and I also don't think Nebraska would care. Iowa would be the only one they could really leverage, and the Big 12 would jump all over them if they chose to move (fits the conference profile, etc).
Penn State? The ACC would take them in a heartbeat, and they'd fit great in a division with Pitt, BC, Va Tech, Syracuse etc.

The argument that the kids will be safer playing is winning me over. Let’s continue to prove the SEC is the premier league and get on the field!

Cancellation is done by the league not the NCAA, if I understand it correctly. I would like to see the SEC wait until much later to cancel, if they indeed wind up canceling the season.

Think of it like this, if most of the conferences cancel their seasons and the SEC, and perhaps some other conference, does not they then have the stage all by themselves this fall.

That ship may sail tomorrow. The Pac-12 is reported to be considering a late October start.

If this ends up like it could the SEC is gonna show everyone who is boss for reason.

This last little piece on ESPN talking about causing Cardiovascular issues even says other type viruses can do this same thing but very very very did I say very small percentage of cases and we don’t hide from those viruses.

If for no other reason than to poach all the good players from other conferences and to clean up in recruiting, we should do it.

Not to mention all of the jr/sr kids currently on the SEC rosters with NFL skills are going to get a lot of air-time.
Those guys need to be raising the roof to play.
