Antwain Shamar "Squirmy" Fisher joins Ibrahim Yazeed in the Lee County Detention Center as primary suspects in the murder.

Yazeed is currently in solitary confinement due to death threats from other inmates. He had many previous arrests for assault, drug violations, and kidnapping, and attempted murder. He was out on bond from Montgomery County for a previous kidnapping and attempted murder, when he allegedly killed Blanchard.

If you get sent to the pokey for attempted murder than you shouldn't get bail.

Shoplifting, sure. Attempted murder though? You don't let that person back on the street until you know good and well they didn't do it.

Found just off the interstate in Shorter. Exit 22 off of 85.

Auburn is exit 51 and 85 starts/ends in Montgomery. They dumped her right off of the interstate, close to Victoryland.

Sad situation all around. May her family find peace and closure.

According to al.com, the accomplice, Fisher, had previously been convicted of felony murder. The primary suspect, Yazeed, was out on bond for kidnapping and attempted murder charges.

quote:

Fisher, under the name Antwon Fisher, pleaded guilty in 2006 to a reduced charge of felony murder and was sentenced to 19 years in prison with two years to serve. He was initially charged with capital murder in the 2004 shooting death of Amy Rawls during a robbery. The victim was robbed of $60.

That makes me fricking sick. This guy killed a girl over $60. Now he's done it again.

Neither of them should have ever been allowed back on the street.

Turns out the murder was the victim's fault. Killer says she went for the gun he shot her with so he had to kill her.

Wow, that poor guy. Why could she just let him kidnap her and do whatever he was planning without trying to fight back?

Give me a pencil torch and a pair of vice-grips. Put me in there with him.

I'll have him telling where her body is in under 10 minutes.
