I was excited. Yes, Bo had a rough game, but finished with that amazing drive and final play. I had optimism that he would get better each and every week. Sure, he would have some growing pain moments throughout the season, but by the end of the year NO ONE would want to play this team with a nasty defense and an improved offense. Things looked on schedule after that gritty road win at aTm and blowout home win over MSU.

But something happened after that win over MSU. I just can't put my finger on it. How can an offense be this inept?

Gus doesn’t prepare his offensive players in a manner commensurate with this level of football.

Since Marshall every qb has regressed, I’ll let you draw your own conclusions

We don't use a TE. We don't allow qbs to make checks or reads. We pick 1 WR every year and force feed him. The other WRs only get certain plays.

I'd love to see Hastings run a quick slant out of the slot but he's the quick out guy.

Stove could make a living on 3 yard drag routes like Bama's wrs but he's the quick screen guy.

The whole offense is bobo

I think you hit the nail on the head. Why do certain WRs have to be the ones who run specific routes. We don't mix routes up enough within our WRs which in turn makes it easier for DCs to gameplan against us. It's just so dumb that player x has to be the bubble screen guy or player y the speed sweep guy.

To be fair to Gus, our Wr’s are not good this year. They don’t get open and they have poor hands. They don’t make catches unless they are open and the ball is perfect. Some Wr’s make their Qb look good, our Wr’s don’t help Nix out at all.

Given that, everything else said is true.

I have to disagree, I think between Schwartz, Seth, Hastings, Stove, and JJ that's a damn good bunch. Not elite like LSU or Bama but very capable. They don't get open because our passing concepts suck. Did you see the final play of the game when Bo got sacked. We only needed 10 yards every WR ran about 15 yards down field then turned inside.

Watch that play then watch LSU trips or stacked wr's and what they do off the line of scrimmage. No damn way you can cover them lol.

Mullens beat us all game by getting wr's lined up on LBs.

We just go 3 or 4 wide and run straight down the field post routes or out routes.

I could of covered that final play of ours.

Every other coaching staff in the SEC save arkie would get more out of the talent we have on O than Gus is producing.
