Perkins sucked. After late game drive chooses to go for the tie? What Mike Shula lacked in skill at QB, he made up for it in toughness. Also, it was comical how bad both kickers were. The goal post looked wider than they are now, not sure if they were. Both kickers still missed numerous chip shots.

That’s all.

Goal posts weren’t wider, but they were shorter. That gives them the appearance of being wider.

Goal posts were indeed wider. They made them less-wide sometime in the '90's. Also, back then they had the kicking platform to kick off of. That stopped in '89 as well.

Ron Lewis the lsu kicker was 5 of 17 on field goals that season. 15 of 36 for his career.

They were narrowed in 1991, they made a big deal out of this after Florida St missed the game winner against Miami.

The only game we didn't win in Tigah Stadium in the 70's, 80's and 90's.

One tie, zero losses.
