Dude just lost in 131st place and made $60k. Did great for an amateur and was on a featured table a lot.

106 players left now out of 9000.

Ran himself out of the tournament. Didn't trust his reads.

Got to know him a little bit. His son played in same league as my son, but a year ahead. He's a BIG dude and in good shape. He's also incredibly nice, very gracious and humble guy.

Funny observation- he and Ken Oxendine coached (Ken was head guy). They were super laid back. All the other (non-NFL) guys ran round yelling and screaming like a bunch of spider monkeys.

I was in that tournament one year. I went out day 2. (In other words I sucked). More than reads when you push all in. Lady Luck is important. You have to play conservative to make it that far. Only time you can cut loose is when your in the top 2 big stacks at a table. I pushed all in with Aces pre-flop as a middle stack and was busted...it happens.
