Gafford and Mike.

Seemed like in many games when Gafford was out the team clicked better. It seems like they play basketball and actually play as a team with responsibilities. I know Gafford did a lot for us this year, but Im honestly curious what the drama is in that locker room.

I blame 7-8 rotation guys that couldn't shoot free throws... If we shoot NCAA average, we are in the tournament

I blame a stubborn and lazy head coach who can’t manage a roster of players, evaluate basketball players on shooting/scoring ability when putting rotations on the court.

TJ Cleveland absent from the game as Mike scrambles to recruit JUCOs for his zero player recruiting class.

i remember the Colorado state game when gafford was out the first half and we wiped the floor with them. then he came back in and they cut it to like 4-5.

this game, in conjuntion with him just quitting on his team, is not a good look for gafford. i wouldn't touch him.

Same. I do not think he will last long with his attitude. He is going from a mediocre sophomore who didnt play in the NIT to the NBA. Best of luck Daniel

U can’t judge anything from that game Providence is garbage. If we can play like that in Bloomington then I’m liable to believe that Gafford was screwing up chemistry and give mike a mulligan

I can understand how having a guy nba bound and not going all out because he’s mentally checked out can disrupt a blue collar team like us

I have been the biggest Gafford hater this season and I really dont like to do that to players. It was there many games where he was on the floor being dramatic and then acting tough when something went his way. No hate to the kid at all, but I dont think his head was where it should have been this season. You could tell early on there were issues with this team. There has been many times this season as well where Gafford went out and the bench performed like they did tonight. I actually tweeted - after Gaffords last game - that it was the best showing of him. The kid does have potential, but something isnt there from my point of view. Of course he will get drafted and make more money than I ever will, but he needs to get his head straight. I think I even mentioned back in the Texas game that he looked like he was on something. Again, not spreading rumors or saying that, reenforcing that this was noticeable early on.

I get we all love our players and I do too, but I am a very competitive person who believes in effort all the time. I am one of those people that wishes I could have made it to the next level and play college sports, let alone a proud school like Arkansas. I will call shite out the way I see it, and I am sorry if I have came off the wrong way about this, but again, just my opinoin. Others differ and I can understand that. Just not trying to be a dick to be a dick if thats how it seems.

Even with the MireFike shite, its more of a laugh for me. I know Mike is a great guy, but this team needs a new head coach. Its not where we expect it, so why shouldnt we want change after the time he has been here. Its a job, and we need to have the best person out there that we can have.

Blaming Gafford for this season is asinine. It's not Gafford's fault if the rest of the team relied on him too much. That comes down to coaching. Might as well blame Lebron for the Lakers not making the playoffs.

It may be something as simple as immaturity with Gafford. I believe he has a ton of potential, and we saw glimpses of it. Just not consistently.
I am still struggling to understand why he didn't seem to make any physical progress from last year to this year.
I didn't see him get any stronger or tougher and didn't seem like he put on any muscle or weight.
And the getting tired so quickly was baffling.
