Sorry guys but a dumb question and please don't berate me for this question.
Godwin is a Senior. No word on him entering the draft (so far). Anyone know what's going on with him?

He has no more eligibility.
I'm curious what his mom has to say. She said she was going to expose something or another.

I’m not sure what you mean by your question...
He is a senior who is out of eligibility. He will almost certainly be invited to the combine and will try his hand at the NFL. Seniors don’t have to “enter” the draft.

I don't keep up with the "eligibility" rules and the draft. So because he is a senior and will graduate, he definitely won't be back next year whether he goes pro or not?

A player has 5 years to play 4.
Godwin has played in all of his 4 years (this predates the new redshirt rule).
If he had redshirted one of those years, he could still come back as a 5th year senior.
But he never redshirted.
He can't play anymore.

Thanks Rig- I get it now. The 5 year rule was what had me question his status.

Godwin is a DGD, he made some great plays for us, especially last year, but he never fully lived up to the 5 star hype that surrounded him coming in. He had the injury bug a little bit, maybe that's why.

We probably don't win in South Bend last year if he doesn't make that absurd, AJ Green-esque catch for a TD.
