Tennessee fans, what are you expecting in year one?

And do you expect to win the division within three years? I like Pruitt btw and a big turnaround won't surprise me.

5-7 +/- 1 for me.
I don't expect to win the east in the near future with UGA seemingly rolling but who knows. I've taken a really big step back as far as following it closely so I don't know anything about how well Pruitt is recruiting or how the rest of the East looks outside of clicking over to 247 every now and then to check the team rankings.

His recruiting so far isn't what you would want it to be but it isn't bad. Winning will help.

It is a tough sell it seems like. Very little buzz around the program/around town and expectations are understandably low. Seems like he is doing a nice job to even be in the top 15 as sad as that would usually sound.
I am looking forward to following the season very casually and hoping for the best but as I said a 4 win season wouldn't shock me or upset me. Hopefully we can win 6 or 7.

Hoping for 6-6 and a bowl win.
This time UT HC is not just a salesman. Pruitt actually knows football and has substance to back up.

Anything 6-6 or better is gravy in year 1. The schedule, particularly the mid season death row, is absolutely brutal.
I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see us drop 4-5 games in a row in that middle part of the schedule.
I'd like to see us be competitive or beat UF (Dog) USC (Dog) , Mizz (Dog) UK (Toss up/Dog) & Vandy (Toss up). Expecting bad things against Bama, Auburn, & UGA.
That's how I see it anyways.

I’d say 6-6 with a bowl win would be improvement. Also not getting throttled in SEC games would be a start. Put up a fight. No shame in losing if you know your team actually fought back.

Just not looking at red faced Bozo Botch on the sidelines is a improvement. Botch checked out and wanted out in 2016....the team checked out right behind him. Gonna take time to get the Botch stank out of this team.

I don't think I've ever seen a 5 game run like they have mid season.I would hope to still have a team.

Making a bowl game is the bar this year for me. Talent-wise this is a 6-6 or 7-5 team, at the very least, if this staff is any good (which I think they are).

Until you win some games, UT fans aren't allowed to count auto wins against Vandy, UK, and Mizz. You have losing streaks to all those teams currently.
Those teams are currently counting those games as auto wins for themselves.
I think those games will be the close ones for you, along with Florida. South Carolina will beat UT comfortably, and Auburn will be a blowout, along with Georgia and Alabama.
