FWIW, Neal McCready has reported that Vitter was told that his contract wouldn’t be renewed when it's up in June 2020.

Two more years.

Sorry but he seems like a typical closeted “Southern dandy gentleman” like Beauregard Sessions.

The IHL is a shame and will look for another puppet after Jones basically ran rough shot over them.

How does Mississippi State keep making better administrative hires than we do?

State has more representation on the IHL, as does Southern I think these days, and in general the IHL seemingly would rather every university be relatively mediocre than allow any one university the opportunity to outclass the others. Plus, it's not like State, Southern, or Delta State want Ole Miss to succeed, especially because it would likely be relatively at their expense.

Re Vitter, frick that guy. Good riddance. Hopefully he'll exit before 2020, but the same people who hired him will be hiring his replacement. For all the shite Dan Jones got, someone of his caliber has been missed terribly

Dan Jones knew what needed to be done and did it without kissing the IHL’s arse. I can’t speak about the main campus but the restrictions that they place on UMMC is about ludicrous. To treat the only academic medical center and Level 1 Trauma center in the State jump through hoops like they do is nearly criminal. The nail the IHL used to oust Jones was the Gamma Knife which they wouldn’t approve and he went ahead and got while he could.

Ole Miss and State both need independent boards, but I doubt it'll ever happen

Dan Jones and Robert Khayat devised the genius beta cuck strategy with the NCAA.

Funny how it is now installed over at the medical mall.
