Redshirt Rule Change?

College coaches want the NCAA to allow Redshirt players to be able to play in up to 4 games without it counting as a year of eligibility.

Correct. 4 games. But if the coaches only proposed it last week, I don't think is's a done deal until the NCAA approves in in their summer meetings.

It's been proposed for a while. They're just yapping about it now, because there's no football left. Very clear what's up here. Coaches are scared to death of roster management without being able to sign however many they want. Made the rule to curb Saban, but it won't affect him a bit. They can spin it however, but this one's on the coaches.

I like the rule btw, just not how the coaches/conferences are spinning it. For it to be months before committee meets and the rule guaranteed to pass, it's kinda ridiculous they are even lobbying anymore. Money made this change, not the good of the student/athlete.
