Everything is chemical related because the very fiber of our being is a string of chemical compounds. So yes, anything that goes wrong with us can be treated with chemicals. But there are other ways of treating ourselves as well.

Like I said a couple times already, don't take anything I say seriously. Take it with a truckload of salt, because it would be better to assume I am a crazy person than it would be to try working rituals someone may not understand and end up crazy themselves.

Dude, I have dealt with schizophrenia all my life among close friends and it is not something to make light of.

Ok, but that's what I'm driving at. What was the key event or piece of information that convinced you that magic is real? Did you observe someone practicing it? Did you try some yourself and find that it actually worked?

Again, I am genuinely curious and asking this without any ulterior motive. Not trying to disparage or make fun.

I've been to the other side a time or two. So I understand that the place we call "heaven" is very real. It is more real than this current construct we refer to as "reality". I call it the astral plane.

So the question becomes, if that place is real, and I know it is because I've frickin seen it, (Seen isn't the appropriate term. It's more an experience as it involves all six senses) then how does it work? How does it jive with what we see in our waking lives, day to day?

The truth is that it actually governs this reality. And in that other place, mere thought is enough to alter our reality here.

So how do Tibetan Monks harness and utilize chi power? They spend their entire lives practicing transcendental meditation - that's how. They can interact with the other realm JUST ENOUGH to make subtle changes to the real world that elude our scientific instruments of detection. (See videos on YouTube of monks melting snow with their minds, or staving off hypothermia by increasing their skin temperature while reducing their metabolic rates).

This stuff is magic. And while I joke about being a sorcerer on here, and talk about magic, I don't actually practice it because I understand full well the dangers involved with it.

But I have a good understanding of how to go about practicing it, and how it can, in fact, be used to make a difference in our lives.

The only point of this thread was to get people thinking about it in a non-taboo way.

But to the example I laid out in the OP, I think the science is sound.

One way is to die, but I don't recommend it.

There should be plenty of instructions on how to get there otherwise on the net. There are dozens of approaches and you gotta find the one that works best for you. For me it isn't very hard, but I don't do it often as there are critters there that can latch on to you and if you aren't disciplined enough to learn how to get rid of them they can cause you problems in your waking life.
