With two weeks to go in the regular season, it will be crazy race for conference championships, particularly in the SEC. LSU, A&M, and Vandy are the three that are really competing for the SEC regular season championship.
Vandy is in first overall with a 17-7 SEC record. LSU and A&M are tied for second with a 16-7 record. LSU owns the tiebreaker and A&M has a better overall record. LSU and A&M both had a game canceled. So Vandy basically is in first place by 1/2 a game with LSU and A&M right on their tails.
Vandy has a huge series this weekend at home against Florida and then they finish at Alabama.
LSU has a home series this weekend against Mizzou and then finish the season at South Carolina.
A&M plays at home against South Carolina this weekend and then they hit the road at Ole Miss.
Vandy has the toughest series this weekend against Florida, but all three teams should win their series this weekend considering the fact that the games are at home.
It will more than likely come down to the final weekend to decide the SEC championship with all three teams hitting the road. A&M arguably has the toughest season ending series playing at pesky Ole Miss at Swayze. LSU would be next going to play in front of usually a great crowd at South Carolina. Vandy should be able to handle Bama because everyone has.
If I had to chose, I'm taking Vandy to win the SEC championship, with having played one more game than both LSU and A&M and having their toughest remaining series at home.
These next few weeks will be very exciting so enjoy.

Who knows about a lot of that. The one thing I can guarantee you is that Illinois will not be in the finals. They're decent and senior laden but not that good.

I'm not saying AUburn deserves to be top 25, but with SOS #3, RPI # 15 and a record of 32-17, we should be at least mentioned in the "others" category. We are on a 11-2 streak right now

A Big Ten school hasn't reached the finals since the 60's.

All 8 national seeds are not making it to Omaha.

I guess he changed it up since last weeks projection because he actually had a legit projection instead of just putting the top 8 in the CWS. This was the base of a big argument in the tiger rant thread last week

no Auburn in the top 25? Top 3 SOS and have won our last 4 series, IIRC. Team ERA for the past month and a half has been low 2s, i believe.

I sort of remember, think I may have been involved. I don't get to read tRant all the time with a 6 month old running, well rolling, around.
