UT fans - I have a question

What's it like to not want your team to win any more games so you can get a new coach?
I'm finding this just a tad bit challenging but I know at the end of the day it's what must happen. I feel terrible about wanting the Gators to lose though. It's just not right.

It means you have a longer-term view of the greater good, which is a good thing.

no worries road, you don't really have to fall victim to this situation.
Come Saturday evening it will already be worked out for you.

Basically what you're describing. You don't really want your team to lose but you want it all to end because you know the guy has got to go for things to get better.

It's a weird feeling. I have no advice for you except just to say don't worry it gets better...oh wait

It's almost time for Agent Boom to come home. Just one more game before his job is done.

I don't want him on staff, but if he loses on Saturday, we owe him at least a parade or something

His job was done vs. Mizzou this year and last year. Totally embarrassing to lose to those Yankees IMO.

I felt like this at the end of the Arkansas game in 2012. I knew then the wheels were going to come rolling off and there was NO WAY GENE CHIZIK was going unfrick that catastrophe. I didn't openly cheer against us, but I laughed in the stands at that dumpster fire. I bought some tickets away from my season tickets and felt great relief when people in that section had the same attitude about it.

We pretty much own Florida. It won't matter who the coach is.

It wasn't challenging for me at all.
The South Carolina and Missouri games in 2012 I cheered really hard for VOLS to lose. I had a gigantic smile on my face when they choked in both games.
I did not go to any games after the Florida game though because I didn't want to outwardly cheer against them in the stadium.

I kinda thought the vols were recruiting better and looked like they were showing signs of life. is the outlook at UT that hopeless? this would be a lot of coaches in rapid succession if they changed again

I found that no matter what, once the game started I still cheered for Tennessee. It's innate. But as soon as the wheels fell off [generally the 3rd quarter] I hoped for a blow out to get rid of Dooley.

I think he was more referring to the Dooley days and not Butch.
Tennessee fans are still holding out hope for him.

No. Most fans see an upward trajectory in all categories even on the field despite W-L ratio - you see a much better team than we've had in a lot of categories. It just sucks to wait on the roster/talent issues to sort themselves out. I'm sure some are disgruntled but some will always be disgruntled - even when winning.

I stopped watching. I record with hope, but then I erase, and move on. It is terrible, but I like being happy.
I'm ready for basketball. :)
I might watch the Vandy game. Might.

During the Shula years we always said "It has to get worse before anything gets better". Turned out to be true. UF will get back
