The problem with our campus is that so few of y'all have probably actually seen it because our stadiums (with the exception of basketball - kinda) are all off campus.
Being the 3rd oldest university in the SEC, I suppose the planners of the day didn't anticipate the rise of college athletics when they put the university in the state capital's downtown.
But I did find this picture of the Horseshoe (oldest part of campus) in 1850. Many of these buildings still exist on the Horseshoe.
And the Horseshoe today:

I have been to A&M, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Arkansas. Honestly - they are all nice and each is unique. Going to see South Carolina and Miss. State this season. Colorado and Pepperdine are the two nicest non SEC campus I have been to. Next thread.

My top vote goes to Bama but of course I am partial. Other top ones are Ole Miss, LSU, UGA, and I'll even throw Auburn in there.

For a little contrast, here are some of Georgia Tech's buildings. All have been completed since 2000.
Clough Undergraduate Commons
Campus Recreation Center (site of 1996 Olympic Swimming)
McCamish Pavilion (basketball arena)
College of Management, Tech Square
Ford Environmental Science and Technology Building
Klaus Advanced Computing Building

Nice building just not my style. I prefer the Old South looking campuses.

I enjoy some modern architecture. I especially like things with a "Gotham" feel to them, industrial gothic.
So those are tits, to me.
College campuses should be full of good architecture, old and new, IMO. I don't mind modern buildings, I just really dislike half-arse buildings of any kind.

GT's campus is awesome. An oasis in the city. For those of you that haven't seen it in the last 7 year or so you're really missing all the impressive improvements.
