Tank ran a swing route to the other side,
It looked wide open.
Did we ever go back to that play?

The dump off to the RB was wide open most of the game. Finley never even looked at them. On the first interception, Roberson was wide open streaking across the middle. Finley threw into double coverage. His field vision is not good.

It really was. For big gains at that. Finley never looked for the safety valve.

Up to the coaches to make the QB aware of this

TJ was hurt, lucky he did not throw three interceptions. Easy to second guess, but the Interception helped put Bama back in the game.

In the OT that Patton made the long field goal, Finley took a bad sack. He had either Jonhson or Hudson running open across the middle of the field. He just isn't a SEC quarterback.
He played tough, don't get me wrong. He's definitely not the answer at the position though.

Right ....Go with that theory and Finley looks for nothing other than his last check down ...forgetting everyone else.
Been saying all season long, Finley has a head problem.
If the primary is open, Finley can zip it in there. Cover the primary and Finley is looking for rainbows....

Maybe the coaches did but Finley didn’t use it.
One thing I noticed w TJ is he tends to look for the longer throws. He doesn’t seem to look for a TE or the rb swing throw. He wants the bigger play.
Although he talks about going thru his progressions so not sure how he decides who to finally throw to.
I guess it’s a matter of what is the first option in his progression.
