37 catches, 707 yards, 11 TD so far

Hard to research this kind of stuff but I’m not sure any true freshman tight end has been that productive in CFB history. At least not in the SEC.

Not sure Diddles.

But after hours of research, I CAN confirm Arik Gilbert is tied for the WORST season for a Sophomore TE in FBS history!

Possibly one of the best. TE is a lot like OL in that freshman rarely can play, much less at an elite level.
