I'm saying we just lost a shite ton of momentum. Yes, dropping from a NYD Florida bowl down to a midweek Memphis or Charlotte or Houston bowl is a big drop. It's bad for short and long term perception. It's bad for recruiting. It's bad for exposure.

Also YES, as long as Jimbo has playcalling duties he is NOT the answer and it's pretty clear. Obviously we can't fire him b/c his contract is idiotic but losing to this LSU team is all we need to know that if he's calling the plays he ain't the guy.

Calzada at QB can't be an excuse. Whose fault is that? LSU had more than half their starters on defense out for this game, have a coach who was already fired, and they were also running w/a backup QB. This is an inexcusable loss that can clearly be placed at Jimbo's feet. How many times are we going to have to sit here and watch him abandon the run so his precious passing game can win the day? How many times do we have to see a player like Achane kill it on a drive only to be completely forgotten for the entire 4th quarter? We have a QB whisperer who coaches a QB that has the worst footwork I've ever seen at a major P5 school and he's been on the roster for 3 years already.

Would I love to be wrong? Hell yes I would. But I can already see the writing on the wall for next year. We're going to get a heaping dose of "This is a rebuilding year and '23 will be when we really have a chance" as we struggle to win 8 games w/a new QB, a ton of new starters on D, and a line that will probably once again end up being a work in progress all year long.

Disappointing loss after clawing our way into the lead.

My view is that the inconsistency we have seen throughout the season stems from 2 main causes:

- Breaking in new starting QBs
- Playing too many freshmen on both sides of the ball

Calzada improved markedly over the season, especially being gimpy with his left knee and shoulder. He still has a ways to go fixing his footwork.

Last night we had 4 freshmen play a substantial number of snaps on defense. We also had 3 freshmen play a substantial number of snaps on offense.

Fisher needs to close out this year's recruiting class strong and keep stacking classes together.

This cannot be overstated.
