Georgia has two cupcakes, while Bama actually has to spend most of their time concentrating on two physical SEC teams…..

All this week and some of next, would be my guess.

Our scout team is better than CS.

Very true. We need to get healthy and prepare for Bama. But at the same time they need to stay focused. Trying to play it safe and not get injured can lead to injuries

I'd say they started two weeks ago.

They started game planning for the SECCG after the WLOCP. But they will practice for the game Saturday and for COFH. They will put in a few new plays for Bama and the Playoff opponents and practice them as well. Do you think Florida might have been prepping for Bama last year when they played LSU? See what looking past a weak opponent will get you?

There’s a weak opponent and then there’s Charleston Southern and GT. I’d assume at the latest there were people assigned solely to Bama after WLOCP.

I’ve always been curious about this - who would be responsible?

Maybe, but I imagine it's not easy to be prepping for the same team for so long. You know Kirby WANTS that game and at this point you have to believe he's got a good plan for these weeks.

The OP said "mainly prepare for Alabama." I don't think any coach with good sense would neglect even Charleston Southern and prepare for another team three weeks away. This is not a worthy subject for discussion, so I'll opt out after this post.

I think Kirby will play the starters at least one half in both games. What I find interesting is Clemson barely beat Tech 14-8. I'm sure that really sticks in Kirby's mind. Still I think our offense is much better than the Clemson game. I think I recall the 2019 Ga Tech game where it was a close game for the first half. Tech is probably going to be 3-8 after playing Notre Dame this weekend. I am sure Tech will be fired up for this game with a chance to ruin our undefeated season. We should beat Tech badly but Kirby won't let the guys take it lightly. If Tech is playing out of their mind they may hang around for a half but what really separates this UGA team is the amount of depth. We just physically punish teams with our depth.
