These are all upperclassman that don't need to be "tested". they are all American level talents. They aren't going to get worse by missing the last 5 minutes of sure win.
There is zero reason to have the first string guys on the field at that point.

At some point this team is going to have to play a 4 qtr game.
We can't go through the whole schedule taking the starters out for the fourth quarter. They need to play to be conditioned for 4 quarters of football.

FWIW Kirby confirmed Ericson, Jalen Carter, Fitz, and a couple of others as having stomach flu.
Only two guys who we need to find out about are Wyatt and Nolan. Sentell was reporting that Nolan had been on the sideline toward the end of the game with ice kn his elbow but then took the ice off to go shake hands postgame.
If Nolan just hyperextended his elbow, he can sit a week or two and play with a brace. Question is he he tore or broke anything.
Wyatt took so many body blows hard to know if the knee was just exhaustion setting in or an actual tear
