Bold move. Florida fans HATE him, and wanted CR45 fired after last season. When that didn't happen, their ire shifted to 3rd & Grantham

A lot of florida fans havent been happy with the linebacker play this year. I didnt think CRob was popular down in gainesville except for some of his recruiting efforts

I saw an article about this from a Florida writer. he described the LBs as middle grade.

C Rob was arse as a player imo, but that's cool that he's getting an opportunity to run a defense being so young.

Ironically, he seemed unprepared (and now he is a coach).
No anticipation. Couldnt read and react to his keys. Tackles were all 4-8 yards downfield because he was slow reacting.

CRob doesnt get enough credit for his athleticism. He was a good 3rd down linebacker. He could hit home on blitzes (his best attribute as a linebacker because he didnt need to read the offense). He was good in coverage.

I believe he killed it at the combine but those numbers obviously didn't translate very well to the field for him.

CRob was the birth of third and grantham.

Grantham gave robinson every opportunity to be the starter but he couldnt get the job done (i think it was a combination of dowtin and gilliard doing better that pushed him off the field).

So grantham decided to make Robinson the 3rd down linebacker.
Imagine your mike linebacker. The captain of your defense. Getting others lined up properly and setting the necessary checks needed when the offense breaks huddle and sets formation. Imagine that linebacker sprinting onto the field without the playcall after 2nd down and trying to be effective once he is in position.

Trainwreck.
Absolute trainwreck to throw a new mike linebacker onto the field after 2nd down.
