I am absolutely not defending him or his actions, and I get that it’s an emotionally charged tragedy, but perspective is important. Locking him up for 26 years while the sex trafficker is out in 5 doesn’t really benefit society or provide closure for the tragedy.

Yes. And DUI involving death in Nevada is 2-20. What's your point? I never said he should be charged with murder.
Also, remember he's charged with a second crime. It's up to the judge to decide if the sentences are consecutive or not.

I don't disagree with that at all. I'm all for 25 to life imprisonment for sex trafficking, without parole.

So why not argue the sex trafficker should go to prison longer?
Not that Ruggs get out in less than 25 years.

sex traffickers should be executed; no need for jail time; especially if we are talking about children
and I agree, 26 years is too long
he should get 15 and serve 10

it keeps this ahole off the streets (literally) for two decades. I would absolutely be worried for my kids’ lives if I knew this guy was driving in the same town as them!
