Chase: 38 catches, 786 yards, 7 TDs

Smithy: 34 catches, 436 yards, 1 TD

Waddler: 48 catches, 384 yards, 3 TDs

Interesting stat:

Ja’Marr has as many TDs as:
- Henry Rugg (2)
- DeVonta Smithy (1)
- Jaylen Waddler (3)
- Jared Jeudy (0)
- Julius Jones (0)
- “Quitting” Calvin Ridley (1)

…combined.

ETA: Don’t let the “melt” / “response thread” comments distract you. Gumps are just trying to deflect from how absolutely awful Smithy has been

The response threads are nonstop today.

The Jets broke LSU.

Plz don’t deflect from Smithy’s terribleness

Smithy today = 1 catch for 15 yards!

0 TDs in his last 7 games

It's almost not right how much WIllyT has these gumps melting. One might say that LSU broke them.

Smith isn’t even in the same conversation as Chase and Chase proved he’d be the better pro receiver at the combine

How many TDs would Chase have if Burrow didn't lead the league in INTs?

WillyT responding by melting doesn’t equal making gumps melt.

He had another TD today

In other words, he matched Smithy’s NFL career

Surely his TD contributed to the Bengals victory over the hapless Jets.

Right?

LSU broke themselves. Every player is the GOAT in the making when they have one good game or season. Then they inevitably come back to earth and you get dunked on as a fan base and wonder why and how it happened.
