Gus Malzahn brought us to great highs and frustrating lows. He took us to a Championship and beat Saban multiple times. But the last few years, the magic had faded. It was time to move on.

Saturdays had lost their luster. I no longer prioritized watching Auburn on Saturday. I saw myself working in the yard, running errands, or being with the family instead. Watching Auburn wasn't important to me.

Harsin has come in and changed that attitude and mindset around the program. I feel we have the chance to compete for 60 minutes every Saturday. We won't win them all, but we will be competitive and I feel we have a chance no matter who we face.

The momentum is changing. Auburn has the opportunity to regain its status as an elite program. The foundation is being built. I am excited for every Saturday during football season.

I love Auburn Football again.

It feels like the sky is the limit again. There is hope around the program.

Agree with every single word of this

If the recruiting can start to gain some momentum from the on field play, we will be ride'n

I also like the fact that Harsin is a hard arse and a guy that can celebrate with the players. I think there is a middle ground there and he may be able to find it.

Players need discipline and they need a guy that can relate to them

Feels like 1981, the year Dye got here. We’re ahead of that schedule even, but the spirit of the team is the same. Guys who fight together, pick each other up, with good solid game plans every week. We’re gonna give the team across the line of scrimmage hell even if we lose. I think recruits can see we’ve got a plan and the resources to get there. Future is very bright on the plains.

Sounds silly but last night was the best sports night I have had in a long time.

I have stuck with both Auburn and the Braves all my life. It pays to stick with a team and watch that commitment finally pay off. Them both having success and putting a good product on field is so bad arse.

That is why I always say, any arse hole can be a bama fan these days.

Absolutely! I second that!

Side note: Sure Hope the Bravos can wrap it all up tonight at home instead of having to go back to Houston.

What’s even better is that Harsin is only 44.

Yes... I’ve said a 9-3 regular season isn’t impossible. Pick up a bowl win on top of that and we’re exactly where we need to be

I am with you.

Gus killed my enthusiasm. For years I just didn’t care. I honestly started hating the dude for what he took from me.

Now I am slowly getting back. I don’t know that I will ever get season tickets again because I have other interests now, but dang I am excited again.

I 1000% agree with this, there were times over the last couple of years that I would golf and just listen to the game which I would have never done early in Gus’ tenure. I now plan my saturdays around Auburn games again and feel confident in almost every game.

Where's that third loss coming from there, hoss?

We are at a point now to expect to win out.
We may not, but I would not want to be on a team that didn't think they should/could do it based on what has happened.

War Eagle.

I don't think it is "hope". It is rock-hard quiet confidence that began at the top with CBH from Day #1. He's a complete alpha and a really good guy it seems. Humble and thankful, but very confident. It's a great combination. He's bad arse and works out with his players for fricks sake. We are getting better and improving every day (coaches, players, staff, fans, everyone) and that is no frickin "coachspeak,". They seen't it and done't it. Every damn day. Everyone still here has bought in, is focused and CBH has made great decisions on and off the field. I would almost venture to say that as a lifelong AU fan and hometown boy, I have agreed with virtually every single decision he has made and understood why (side note - I doubt we would agree on much of anything else, but not of that counts for shite). War Eagle.

He and his staff have ALREADY rebuilt / retooled this team. I doubt we win out honestly, and I honestly really don't care that much. I have seen more than enough to know that AU football is back. And note how Gary spent quite a while discussing the new staff and their family's love for Auburn and vice versa. Errybody wins. Keep watching. Again, Lock down that 100-ish mile recruiting radius around Auburn and see what happens. Not sorry I am giddy.

Honestly....what is there not to be confident about. We won't get to where we want to be today. But maybe tomorrow. We are running ahead of schedule and it is refreshing as frick.

Honest to God I had serious CGM PTSD disorder symptoms brewing when Corral went down. We were on the verge of giving UM two....TWO dark horse Heisman candidates. I am glad Corral came back and seemed relatively okay. He is a baller and a leader and seems like a genuine good guy. Just another reason why I love AU vs Ole Miss.

I feel the same way about the trajectory of the program.

But the conspiracy side of me is wondering how long it will take for some bullshite “scandal” to come out about the Auburn Football program. It seems to happen every time Auburn gains some traction.

“They” have already started with the “Will Harsin get fired for not being Vaccinated” story line.

That wouldn’t even be a story if Auburn were 3-5 right now.
