The hometown rag one state over isn't very high on their dominant in-state team.

quote:

Alabama gets a bye next weekend before facing the injury-plagued and lame duck-coached LSU Tigers. From there, it plays New Mexico, Arkansas and then an Iron Bowl trip to Auburn. Alabama should win all those games before a trip to Atlanta to play Georgia in the SEC Championship. As of Oct. 24, Alabama is too flawed to beat the No. 1 Bulldogs. Not for a lack of talent but because of the issues listed above like sloppy execution and a lack of explosive plays.

The challenge for Saban and everyone involved with Alabama is fixing the issues to say differently by Dec. 4.

I'm not focused on anything other than the WLOCP right now. Just found it interesting that their own paper is trying to spin preemptively.

Right now, nothing is guaranteed except the 5 games remaining on our schedule.

That's the same publication that, in August, accused the SEC athletic directors of being mass murderers for allowing full stadiums to go forward this season. So they are just trying to rile up bammers for clicks

There is something weird going on with Saban though. He's acting like mark Richt all season so far instead of Saban. Something is off. Maybe it's turning 70 or maybe he really does realize his team is subpar by Bama standards this year

It's absolutely rat poison for us, and ginned-up billboard material for them.

Maybe Mark Richt isn't the best comparison. I just mean that his single-mindedness and hatred of losing being more powerful than his love of winning seems gone this year.

My only perspective comes from listening to a bunch of Birmingham radio (since our cfb radio sucks) and Saban just seems content and human for this first time I can remember. Which is crazy because he isn't human and also because they already have a loss and look like shite often

How long til they start whispering on Bama boards that they heard Kirby will be taking over for Saban when he retires next year?

On the shows I hear, they want Kiffen or Sark when Saban joins espn. Dabo is out of fashion.

No mention of Kirby because its obvious now he's the new saban. And he will be buried under the 50 at Dooley field one day

B.S. Counting out Alabama would be foolish. And I'm not convinced we're going to shut down Florida; some seem to expect a blowout. This has been a strange year in college football and we may not be as unstoppable as it seems. I want to see what happens when we play teams that have OL's that can at least mix it up with our DL, and have offensive skill players to make big plays.

Agree. He looked like a lost soul while his handlers were leading him off the field after the A&M loss. Kind of how Biden looks every time he's asked a question.

Hence the rat poison tags.
