Terry Bowden is a really good coach, but a HORRIBLE recruiter. Ask any Auburn fan that is old enough to remember his term at Auburn.

Eh, he just stopped the pay for play scheme Dye had going at the time.
Makes recruiting difficult when everybody else is pay for play.

LSU recruits itself. Most kids in that state want to go there.
